Palmer Votes Against Spending Bill

Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) Wednesday voted against the controversial $1-trillion plus spending bill that keeps the government funded through September.   Conservatives blasted the plan, which contained no funding for President Trump's border wall, yet provides money for Planned Parenthood and sanctuary cities.   Democrats declared victory in the budget negotiations, but the Trump administration pointed to a $21-billion dollar increase in defense spending, and $1.5-billion for border security.  Rep. Terri Sewell (D-Birmingham) supported the bill, which now goes to the Senate.
