The most important pitch of game 2 of the World Series didn't involve the Tigers or the Giants. Nick Kimmel, a former High School baseball star who turned down a scholarship to join the Marines in 2008, threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Kimmel is a purple heart recipiant who lost both legs and an arm in an explosion during his 2nd tour in Afghanistan.
